Lerisa is an eco-conscious, low-carbon brand offering vegan leather goods made in France. Their timeless, resolutely refined handbags are developed with respect for humans, animals and our planet. Each style is made by hand. The label has been featured in Eluxe, Version Femina, We Dress Fair, and more.
Founder
Elsa Ritter was passionate about fashion and loved to consume. But when she became aware of the damage the textile industry did to the planet – especially the pollution behind leather goods – she was shocked. This discovery put an end to her excessive shopping and led to the birth of a new conscious brand where every detail was considered.

Materials
Lerisa chooses natural, plant-based, or recycled materials. Grape leather Vegea, created in Italy, is among the plant leathers the brand loves. The linings of their bags are made with Seaqual, a material made from repurposed ocean plastic waste. Lérisa also incorporates hemp, linen, and upcycled materials from the textile industry.
People
All workers in the brand's supply chain are paid a living wage. Lérisa regularly audit their factories to make sure ethical conditions are respected.
Production
Each Lérisa design is made by hand in France. The manufacturing takes place in a certified workshop where tradition is celebrated and craftsmanship is valued. The brand uses the Carbonfact audit to learn about the emissions of their styles and offer transparency to consumers.
Packaging
The brand puts a lot of thought into their packaging. handbags come in a reusable, biodegradable natural linen pouch – the linen used to make it is grown in Normandy and woven in Alsace. The pouches are made in a workshop in Pas-De-Calais that employs people with disabilities. The bags are wrapped in recyclable tissue paper and packed in a recyclable box.
Animals
Lérisa is a fully vegan brand, which is part of their commitment to a better world. Even the smallest components, such as glues, are fully vegan. The brand is dedicated to the cause of animal rights.
